Preschool dinosaur


All of our programs can be adapted to suit the interests and understanding of pre-school children.

Children will learn about science by touching, feeling, and even tasting their science experiments. We leave children inspired and hungry to learn more. We spark imaginative learning!

Programs available for preschoolers:


Life Sciences


Suggested Age Range: 3-5

Children will be excited to learn all about their fine feathered friends when they take an up close look at birds. They will discover how birds find their mates, investigate differences in bird eggs, learn how a bird’s beak is a tool, and how to identify different bird’s songs. Preschoolers will take home bird whistles to practice their bird songs at home.



Suggested Age Range: 3-5

Explore the world’s most abundant animals. Learn the difference between an insect and a bug. Learn how insects defend themselves, and take home “bugs” that grow in water!



Suggested Age Range: 3-4

Preschoolers discover all about butterflies – where they come from, stages of their growth, how they eat, and even make some of their own to take home during this workshop.



Suggested Age Range: 3-4

Have you ever wanted to look at some dinosaur teeth up close? We will feed preschoolers’ imagination by showing the differences between meat-eating and plant-eating animals. Become an archaeologist by digging up bones and bring home your own dinosaur egg!



Suggested Age Range: 3-5

Students will use telescopes, binoculars, and other equipment to see the world in different ways and will be shown the different parts of the eye using a model. Your kids will be amazed as they discover what tricks their eyes can play on them.


Healthy Choices

Suggested Age Range: 3-4

Students will learn about the different food groups, eating healthy and exercising. Through hands on activities, students will discover how fun making healthy choices can be.

Human Body

Suggested Age Range: 4-5

Children learn all about the human body, especially the part we cannot see like the skeleton and the heart. In class we will find out where all of our organs are located and what they do!

Keep In Touch

Suggested Age Range: 3-4

We will show your children first hand how sensitive the tips of their fingers are. They will see just how difficult it is to identify objects using only their sense of touch.

Listen Closely

Suggested Age Range: 3-4

With a wave motion model and a twirling tube in hand, children will learn that sound travels in waves and can be heard in a variety of pitches. Children will also be privy to secrets about sound effects made from ordinary materials!



Suggested Age Range: 3-5

Children learn all about our friend the owl and the unique way owls digest their food. Take home a colorful owl model that you make in class!


Sea, Sand, Surf

Suggested Age Range: 3-5

Children will explore the science of the sea when they learn about how sand is made, how shells are used by animals for protection, and what animals live in the ocean. They will make their own model ocean to take home.


Taste & Smell

Suggested Age Range: 3-4

This class Introduces preschoolers to smell and taste, and how these senses help them enjoy all of their favorite foods and smells…and the ones they do not like as well!


Weather Wonders

Suggested Age Range: 3-5

Make a cloud appear in a bottle, and mini lightning appear right in front of your eyes! Preschoolers will be amazed by the power of weather and make their own wind sock to take home.



Suggested Age Range: 3-5

Children will use magnifying glasses and other scientific tools to explore the fascinating life of a worm! Take home a worm to help replenish the nutrients in the soil of your yard.


Physical Science

Adventures in Air

Suggested Age Range: 3-5


How can something that is invisible have the power to both move and slow things down? What relies on air for movement? Your kids will discover the power of air through demonstrations and hands on activities.

Color Lab

Suggested Age Range: 3-4

We will introduce your preschoolers to the exciting world of colors! Learn about primary colors. Your students will get their hands into color mixing with our cool tablets. Students will take home their own rainbow crayon!


Dry Ice

Suggested Age Range: 3-5

Explore the three states of matter! Turn water into ice in thirty seconds, build a giant bubbling potion, carbonate plain drinking water, and create the same awesome smoke illusions used in the movies! Take home a cup that changes color based on its temperature.


Lights On

Suggested Age Range: 3-5

Discover light and color in this fun-filled workshop. Students learn how light can change color by shining it through different colored paddles, and what makes up white light. Catch your shadow using a special paper and take home your own rainbow glasses.


Mad Mixtures

Suggested Age Range: 4-5

Preschoolers will mix up some fun while learning all about the science of chemistry and how different liquids combine. Make your own chalk to bring home!


Science of Music

Suggested Age Range: 3-4

Students learn about vibrations, sound waves and instruments in this exciting class that explores the relationships between science and music!



5+ ONLY!!!!!

Explore the exciting world of polymers, the chemical reactions we use to create them, and the secrets of silly putty. Watch magic muffins rise before your eyes and make your own batch of oozing slime to take home!


Space Frontiers

Suggested Age Range: 3-4

This is a trip through the solar system complete with a Mad Science Astronaut In Training Program. Children learn all about the elements of space and the different types of planets.


Water Works

Suggested Age Range: 3-4

One of our most hands on classes. Students will learn about buoyancy by testing to see which materials float and sink. We will also experiment to see which materials absorb the most water. Kids will take home a float and sink test tube that they will make themselves.



Energy and Motion

Suggested Age Range: 3-5

Children explore the concept of energy and how energy makes things move in this workshop that uses toys to help explain simple energy ideas. Students will take home toys called “Boinks” that will help them remember how energy and motion are related.


Let’s Measure

Suggested Age Range: 4-5

Preschoolers will learn the basics of measurement during this workshop when they get to measure all kinds of objects using balance beam scales, a bathroom scale, and even their own feet! Children will be introduced to the concept of estimation and take home a measuring foot to cut out with their parents.


Magnetic Attraction

Suggested Age Range: 3-5

Investigate the powers and daily uses of magnets and how and why they work. Test magnetic fields and make your own refrigerator magnet.


Shapes & Structures

Suggested Age Range: 3-5

Children will discover different shapes and structures by using different kinds of equipment like Geoboards and Magnatiles. They will create their own structure to take home using cornstarch based “noodles.”
